Hayley Atwell makes her Broadway debut as Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing on Broadway in fall 2026. She reprises her performance from a 2025 production in London's West End, starring opposite Tom Hiddleston under the direction of Jamie Lloyd.
Atwell is best known for her onscreen role as Peggy Carter in Marvel Cinematic Universe films such as Captain America: The First Avenger, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man, as well as the TV series Agent Carter and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
She is also, however, a stage veteran in the U.K. Since making her West End debut in a 2009 production of Arthur Miller’s A View from the Bridge, for which she earned an Olivier Award nomination, she went on to earn further Olivier nominations for 2013's The Pride and 2019's Rosmersholm.
