Francis Guinan stars in Downstate on Broadway at the Booth Theatre from October 17, 2026.
Guinan previously starred in Downstate in Chicago, in London (Evening Standard Theatre Award nomination), and off Broadway (Drama Desk Award nomination). He has also starred in August: Osage County and The Grapes of Wrath (Drama Desk nomination) on Broadway.
A longtime member of the Steppenwolf Theatre Company ensemble in Chicago, he has earned six Jeff Award nominations for his work in Chicago theatre, winning once for A Guide for the Perplexed.
He is known for playing Edgar Teller on Eerie, Indiana and making guest appearances in numerous other TV shows, including Grey's Anatomy, Law & Order, That '70s Show, Frasier, Mike & Molly, and two Star Trek series: Enterprise and Voyager.
