Bonita J. Hamilton stars as Shenzi in The Lion King on Broadway at the Minskoff Theatre. She has been with the production for 17 years. She is a graduate of Alabama State University and Brandeis University (MFA) and her credits include Mandela the Musical (staged reading), The Color Purple (workshop), Guys and Dolls, The Piano Lesson, The Old Settler, and In the Blood. She is also a voiceover artist heard on film, podcasts, commercials, and animated series.
