Ayo Edebiri makes her Broadway debut as Catherine in Proof on Broadway at the Booth Theatre from March 31, 2026.
Edebiri is best known for starring as Sydney on the FX/Hulu series The Bear, winning a 2023 Emmy Award for her performance and earning two additional acting nominations in 2024 and 2025, plus one more in 2025 for directing the episode "Napkins." She has also won a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards for her work on the show.
Also among Edebiri's best-known credits are the Netflix series Big Mouth and the films Bottoms, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Inside Out 2, and Theater Camp, in which she appeared alongside stage veterans like Ben Platt, Noah Galvin, and Molly Gordon.
Edebiri is also a screenwriter who has penned episodes of What We Do in the Shadows, Dickinson, and Mulligan.
