Suddenly, Rob! Two-time Tony Award nominee Rob McClure is the next Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors. Beginning July 12, he will take over for Pitch Perfect star Skylar Astin in the leading role of the Off-Broadway production.
McClure just wrapped a run in Mrs. Doubtfire on Broadway, earning a Tony nomination for Best Leading Actor in a Musical for playing the dual role of Daniel Hillard and Mrs. Doubtfire. He was nominated in the same category in 2013 for Chaplin. McClure's other Broadway credits include Beetlejuice, Noises Off, and Something Rotten!
The musical revival, which has been playing at the Westside Theatre since 2019, has had a string of celebrity actors in the role of Seymour. Conrad Ricamora, Jonathan Groff, Jeremy Jordan, and more have all played the awkward flower shop worker who strikes a deal with a flesh-eating plant.
