As we sadly now have to learn to let go of Disney's Frozen on Broadway, a casualty of the current COVID-19 pandemic, we're dedicating today's #QuaranTune to the hard-working cast and crew of the hit musical who will no longer be returning to Arendelle at the St James Theatre.

"Let It Go" is simply a global phenomenon, written by the husband-and-wife team of Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Originally performed by Tony Award winner Idina Menzel for the 2013 smash hit animated classic, the song went on to enchant the young and the young-at-heart across the world and would pick up the Academy Award for 'Best Original Song' in 2014 and the Grammy Award for 'Best Song Written for Visual Media' in 2015.

The musical number was first performed on Broadway by Caissie Levy, who originated the role of Elsa on Broadway. Frozen began previews on February 22, 2018, officially opening on March 22, and played its final performance on March 11, 2020 as the Broadway shutdown due to the coronavirus outbreak was enforced.

Here's Ms. Levy in the stunning performance of "Let It Go" filmed on Broadway for "The View"...

Let it go, let it go. That perfect girl is gone.
