Bruce Springsteen to return to Broadway, performances begin from June 26

Springsteen on Broadway will be the first show to reopen on Broadway after the pandemic.

Bruce Springsteen will return to Broadway with his one-man show Springsteen on Broadway, with performances beginning later this month. Springsteen on Broadway is at St. James Theatre from June 26 to September 4, and is currently the first show to reopen on Broadway after theatres were closed in March 2020. Based on Springsteen's autobiography 'Born to Run', the multi-award-winning recording artist celebrates his career in his live show, sharing anecdotes and his favourite songs. Springsteen on Broadway was first performed at the Walter Kerr Theatre in 2017, with Springsteen earning a Tony Award for the run.

The Springsteen on Broadway creative team includes scenic design by Heather Wolensky, lighting design by Natasha Katz and sound design by Brian Ronan.

Springsteen on Broadway will be the first show to reopen on Broadway, weeks ahead of Governor Cuomo's initial statement that theatres could reopen from September 14. New productions opening in the fall include Pass Over, Skeleton Crew and Caroline, or Change. A full list of Broadway reopening dates can be found here
