Jordan E. Cooper will star in his own play, Ain’t No Mo’, on Broadway this fall. Ain’t No Mo’ begins previews at the Belasco Theatre on November 3, ahead of an official opening on December 1.

Ain't No Mo' explores the values of Black lives and what would happen if Black Americans left an unjust country behind. In a 2019 review of Ain’t No Mo’ at the Public Theatre for New York Theatre Guide, our critic said: “The loose – very loose – premise of the tale is that black people – more specifically “blackness” is “leaving the country that originally imported it as cargo.” This is more than a story about specific characters. It is a story of a diaspora withdrawing itself from a stage on which it never intended to be.”

Jordan E. Cooper writes and stars in Ain’t No Mo’. Jordan E. Cooper is now the youngest playwright in Broadway history. The creative team includes director Stevie Walker-Webb,scenic designer Scott Pask, costume design by Emilio Sosa and lighting design by Adam Honoré
