The Off-Broadway premiere of Mansa Ra's ...what the end will be has announced casting ahead of its first performance at the Laura Pels Theater in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre. Performances begin May 12 ahead of a June 2 opening night, and the run is set to go through July 10.

The cast includes POSE star Ryan Jamaal Swain as Antoine, Emerson Brooks as Maxwell Kennedy, Gerald Caesar as Tony Kennedy, Randy Harrison as Charles, Keith Randolph Smith as Bartholomew Kennedy, and Tiffany Villarin as Chloe.

The creative team has also been set, with set designer Reid Thompson, costume designer Emilio Sosa, lighting designer Jiyoun Chang, and sound designer Palmer Hefferan.

...what the end will be follows three generations of Black gay men living in the same house, and they all share their perspectives on what their identity means as they've been raised in it. The show is Ra's second collaboration with director Margot Bordelon, who helmed the 2017 premiere of his play Too Heavy for Your Pocket with the Roundabout Underground program for emerging writers.
