Asylum NYC is a comedy venue in NYC that hosts stand-up acts, improv, sketch comedy, variety shows, and comedic theatre. The venue is the New York outpost of Improv Asylum, a Boston-based comedy organization.
Asylum NYC opened in 2017. In 2022, it closed down its original location in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood and is reopening at a new location in the Flatiron neighborhood, just east of Chelsea, in fall 2023. The new complex will house two theatres, studio spaces, a VIP room, and a bar and lounge.
Asylum NYC's new location, at 123 E 24th St., is closest to the 23rd St. subway stops on the N, Q, R, W, and 6 lines. The closest bus stop is Park Av. S/E 23 St. on M1, M2, and M3 lines.
