The world premiere of JC Lee's new comedy play at Second Stage Theater, To My Girls, has announced its cast. Directed by Stephen Brackett, the show begins performances at the Tony Kiser Theater off Broadway ahead of an April 12 opening night.
The cast includes Mad Men's Bryan Batt, along with Jay Armstrong Johnson, Carman Lacivita, Noah J. Ricketts, and Britton Smith as a group of gay men vacationing in Palm Springs. One cast member has yet to be announced.
The creative team has also been announced, with scenic design by Arnulfo Maldonado, costume design by Sarafina Bush, lighting design by Jen Schriever, sound design by Sinan Zafar, and movement by Patrick McCollum.
To My Girls takes place post-pandemic, when the aforementioned group of friends take a much-needed getaway to reunite and relax. But what starts as gossip over drinks turns into revelations of hard truths, and the men start to wonder where their friendship stands now that the world has changed — and so have they.
