The Academy Award-nominated actor (Star Wars, Marriage Story) plays Strings McCrane, a world-famous country singer who has a crisis of self following his mother's death. He vows to abandon his career and stay in his Tennessee hometown for good, but fame continues to follow him, complicating his relationships with his family, friends, and lovers.
