'Hold on to Me Darling,' starring Adam Driver, names complete cast
The Off-Broadway revival of Kenneth Lonergan's drama will play a strictly limited 13-week engagement at the Lucille Lortel Theatre beginning in September.
The play Hold on to Me Darling has set the complete cast for its Off-Broadway run this fall, starring previously announced Oscar and Emmy nominee Adam Driver. Performances run for 13 weeks only at the Lucille Lortel Theatre beginning September 24, and opening night is October 16.
Joining Driver as Strings McCrane are Heather Burns as Nancy, Adelaide Clemens as Essie, Keith Nobbs as Jimmy, CJ Wilson as Duke, and Frank Wood as Mitch.
Additionally, Hold on to Me Darling features direction by Neil Pepe, set design by Walt Spangler, costume design by Suttirat Larlarb and Lizzie Donelan, lighting design by Tyler Micoleau, and sound design by David Van Tiegham.
Kenneth Lonergan's drama centers on Strings McCrane, a country music star reevaluating his life after his mother's death. He moves back to his Tennessee hometown, planning to leave fame behind — but its effects and consequences prove impossible to abandon.
Hold on to Me Darling premiered at Atlantic Theater Company in 2016, also under Pepe's direction.
