Dates have now been confirmed for the previously announced New York premiere of Trevor. The new tuner is scheduled to begin previews at Stage 42 on April 7, 2020, ahead of an official opening on April 21.

Synopsis: "Trevor is a new musical about a 13-year-old force of nature with a vivid imagination. As he deals with becoming a teenager, Trevor struggles to navigate his own identity and determine how he fits in a challenging world."

Based on an original story by James Lecesne and the 1994 Academy Award-winning short film, "Trevor," this new musical adaptation features a book and lyrics by Dan Collins and music by Julianne Wick Davis. The short film, "Trevor," inspired The Trevor Project, a crisis intervention and suicide prevention organization focused on saving LGBTQ lives.

Under the direction of Marc Bruni, the creative team features choreography by Josh Prince, music direction by Matt Deitchman, orchestrations by Greg Pliska, scenic design by Donyale Werle, costume design by Mara Blumenfeld, lighting design by Peter Kaczorowski, and sound design by Cody Spencer.

Trevor received its world premiere at Writers Theater in Chicago on August 9, 2017, in collaboration with A.B. & W. Productions through the Literary Development Initiative. The musical went on to win a Jeff Award for 'Best New Work,' celebrating theatre in the Chicago area.

The New York premiere is produced by Roy Furman, John Ambrosino, Josie Bray, and Mark Woods.

Casting for the 19 roles in Trevor will be announced shortly.

Trevor Tickets are available now for performances from April 7 through September 6, 2020.
