The new musical Emojiland has extended its current Off-Broadway run at The Duke on 42nd Street. The emoji-themed tuner, which began performances on January 9, 2020, ahead of an official opening on January 19, will now run through March 19, 2020 (instead of March 8).

Emojiland features a book, music and lyrics by Keith Harrison & Laura Schein, with direction by Thomas Caruso and choreography by Kenny Ingram.

Synopsis: "Not to be confused with, and very much unlike The Emoji MovieEmojiland is an electric ensemble piece about a diverse community of archetypes who take one another at face value: a smiling face dealing with depression; a princess who doesn't want a prince; a skull dying for deletion; a nerd face too smart for his own good; a face with sunglasses who can't see past his own reflection; and a police officer and construction worker who just want to work together. When a software update threatens to destroy life as they know it, Emojiland faces the most fundamental questions a society - and a heart - can face: Who are we? And who matters?"

The cast of Emojiland includes Olivier Award winner Lesli Margherita (as Princess) and Josh Lamon (as Prince), alongside George Abud (as Nerd Face), Felicia Boswell (as Police Officer), Max Crumm (as Man In Business Suit Levitating), Dwelvan David (as Guardsman), Jacob Dickey (as Smiling Face with Sunglasses aka "Sunny"), Ann Harada (as Pile of Poo), Jordan Fife Hunt (as Man Dancing), Heather Makalani (as Kissy Face), Tanisha Moore (as Woman Dancing), Laura Schein (as Smiling Face with Smiling Eyes aka "Smize"), Tony Award nominee Lucas Steele (as Skull), and Natalie Weiss (as Construction Worker).

Emojiland is produced Off-Broadway by Arborhouse Productions & Visceral Entertainment.
