'Music City' postpones Off-Broadway run

The show has been put on hold due to unforeseen issues with the venue, and new dates have yet to be announced.

Music City has postponed its Off-Broadway run, which was scheduled to start performances March 23 at a bespoke space on 512 West 42nd St., due to unforeseen issues with the venue. New dates for the run have yet to be announced.

“As we were preparing to go into tech for the production, we were made aware of legal issues with the venue that have proven to be challenging,” producer Gabrielle Palitz said in a statement. “We are taking a brief pause while we regroup. Our cast is raring to go, and we hope to have good news very soon about our exhilarating production.”

Music City follows the performers and patrons of a Nashville dive bar as they pursue love and music in the face of hardship. The show previously ran to acclaim with the theatre company Bedlam in 2025, earning nominations for two Drama Desk Awards, including Outstanding Musical, and an Off-Broadway Alliance Award for Best Musical.
