'Merrily We Roll Along' announces extension on Broadway

The Broadway production of Merrily We Roll Along, which begins performances on September 19, will run through March 24, 2024.

Merrily We Roll Along rolls into March of 2024! The Broadway production, set to open on September 19 at the Hudson Theatre, has announced an extension through March 24, 2024. Daniel Radcliffe, Jonathan Groff, and Lindsay Mendez will star in the first revival of the show on Broadway following a sold-out run at New York Theatre Workshop. Merrily We Roll Along features music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by George Furth, based on the same-named 1934 play by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart. The musical follows the friendship between three friends in the entertainment business over the course of three decades, in reverse chronological order.

The Broadway production will feature choreography by Tim Jackson, orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick, scenery and costume design by Soutra Gilmour, lighting design by Amith Chandrashaker, sound design by Kai Harada, hair and wig design by Cookie Jordan, casting by Jim Carnahan and Jason Thinger, music supervision by Catherine Jayes, music direction by Joel Fram, associate music supervision by Alvin Hough, Jr., and music coordination by Kristy Norter.
