Merrily We Roll Along features music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by George Furth, based on the same-named 1934 play by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart. The musical follows the friendship between three friends in the entertainment business over the course of three decades, in reverse chronological order.
The Broadway production will feature choreography by Tim Jackson, orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick, scenery and costume design by Soutra Gilmour, lighting design by Amith Chandrashaker, sound design by Kai Harada, hair and wig design by Cookie Jordan, casting by Jim Carnahan and Jason Thinger, music supervision by Catherine Jayes, music direction by Joel Fram, associate music supervision by Alvin Hough, Jr., and music coordination by Kristy Norter.
