Manhattan Theatre Club's fall production of The Unbelievers off Broadway will star Lauren Ambrose (My Fair Lady, Six Feet Under) as Miriam and Tom Riley (Arcadia, Down Cemetery Road) as David. Performances begin October 13 at New York City Center.
The Unbelievers follows two parents figuring out how to go on with life years after their teenage son disappears. The show is written by Tony and Olivier Award nominee Nick Payne (Constellations, Incognito) and directed by Tony nominee Knud Adams (English, Primary Trust).
Manhattan Theatre Club will name additional cast members for The Unbelievers, as well as additional productions and casting for its 2026-27 season, in the coming weeks.
