Roundabout Theatre Company has set the complete cast for The Heart off Broadway, a new musical running from October 8 to December 6 at the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre. Opening night is October 29.

The Heart cast includes Outer Critics Circle Award nominee Heidi Blickenstaff (Something Rotten!) as Claire, Lincoln Clauss (Fly) as Thomas Driscoll, Nick T. Daly (MJ The Musical) as Simon Lamar, Drew Gehling (& Juliet) as Dr. Breva, Bre Jackson (The Book of Mormon) as Cordelia Owl, Tony Award winner Joaquina Kalukango (Paradise Square, Slave Play) as Marianne Lamar, Max McKenna (Rent) as Juliette Brooks, Wren Rivera (Jagged Little Pill) as Marthe, and Jason Tam (If/Then) as Sean Lamar. Daniel Brackett, Gareth Keegan, Q. Smith, and Emily Somé are understudies.

Adapted from Maylis de Kerangal's novel Réparer les vivants, The Heart spans the crucial 24 hours following a young surfer's death, in which their heart is transported to a donor in need. The musical has book and additional lyrics by Kait Kerrigan (The Great Gatsby), music and lyrics by Anne Eisendrath (aka electronic music artist Anniee) and Ian Eisendrath (KPop Demon Hunters), choreography by Mandy Moore (Taylor Swift’s Eras tour), and direction by Tony Award winner Christopher Ashley (Come From Away).

The show will also feature music direction by Wendy Bobbitt Cavett, music supervision by Ian Eisendrath, music production by Juan Ariza and Elin Sandberg, scenic design by Robert Brill, costume design by Sarafina Bush, lighting design by Amanda Zieve, sound design by Gareth Owen, video design by Lucy Mackinnon, and hair and wig design by Alberto “Albee” Alvarado.
