Yeehaw! The complete cast and creative team has been named for Dead Outlaw on Broadway, a new musical beginning performances at the Longacre Theatre on April 12 ahead of an April 27 opening.

The cast, all returning from Dead Outlaw's 2024 Off-Broadway world premiere, include Andrew Durand as Elmer McCurdy, Jeb Brown as Band Leader/Jarrett, Eddie Cooper as Coroner Johnson, Dashiell Eaves as Louis/Charles Patterson, Julia Knitel as Helen/Maggie, Ken Marks as George, Trent Saunders as Andy Payne, and Thom Sesma as Coroner Noguchi. Emily Fink and Max Sangerman are understudies.

Originally produced at the Minetta Lane Theatre by Audible Theater, Dead Outlaw tells the unbelievable and darkly funny true story of Elmer McCurdy, an outlaw whose corpse eventually became a traveling sideshow attraction, bringing him more fame and adventure in death than in life. The show won Best Musical prizes at the 2024 Drama Desk Awards, New York Drama Critics’ Circle Awards, Outer Critics Circle Awards, and Off-Broadway Alliance Awards.

Dead Outlaw reunites much of the creative team behind the Tony Award-winning musical The Band's Visit: director David Cromer, book writer Itamar Moses, and composer/lyricist David Yazbek, who wrote Dead Outlaw's songs with Erik Della Penna.

The Dead Outlaw creative team also includes choreographer Ani Taj, set designer Arnulfo Maldonado, costume designer Sarah Laux, lighting designer Heather Gilbert, sound designer Kai Harada, music supervisor Dean Sharenow, music director Rebekah Bruce, and orchestrators Yazbek, Della Penna, and Sharenow.
