Atlantic Theater Company announces casting for 'SHHHH' off Broadway

Don't stay quiet about this! Atlantic Theater Company has announced casting for the world-premiere production of Clare Barron's SHHHH. The play begins performances off Broadway at ATC's Atlantic Stage 2 on January 12 ahead of a January 24 opening night. The limited run will play through February 13.

Barron will appear in the cast of her play alongside Janice Amaya, Nina Grollman, Greg Keller, Constance Shulman, and Annie Fang in her Off-Broadway debut. The ensemble cast play various characters at an anatomy museum where the morbid meets the pleasurable. Penny flirts and Sally makes biscuits and tea while Kyle talks about dismemberment and Shareen stirs a potion. Barron's play deals with pleasure, kink, trauma, and revenge.

Barron is known for her 2018 play Dance Nation, which premiered off Broadway at Playwrights Horizons in 2018. The play was a 2019 Pulitzer Prize finalist and won the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize and an Obie Award, among multiple other accolades.
