Clayton is known for his Broadway performances as Billy Flynn in Chicago, as the standby for Hugh Jackman as Harold Hill in The Music Man, and in the ensembles of numerous other musicals including Moulin Rouge!, Pretty Woman, Bandstand, Hello, Dolly!, Something Rotten!, Gigi, and On the Town.
