Now, The Maids takes the stage, and it's “brilliant, a dazzling digital-age headrush," per The Stage. The Guardian gave this revival four stars, saying, “Kip Williams dazzles again," also calling out the "storming performances."

In this take on Genet's classic, the maids use social media to begin a game of cat and mouse, reveling in their exploration of power until reality and fantasy begin to blur. Williams is highly adept at remounting classics, as seen with his visionary production The Picture of Dorian Gray, which starred Sarah Snook and similarly utilized digital content for stirring visuals.
