Get The Burning Cauldron of Fiery Fire tickets when they go on sale on New York Theatre Guide to see the newest play reuniting playwright Anne Washburn and director Steve Cosson. The two last mounted Mr. Burns, a Post-Electric Play, called “downright brilliant” by The New York Times. Now, their latest collaboration The Burning Cauldron of Fiery Fire plays downtown at the Vineyard Theater, in a co-production with The Civilians, for a limited time only this fall.
Don't miss The Burning Cauldron of Fiery Fire off Broadway. A cast of New York theatre stars—Jeff Biehl, Bartley Booz, Cricket Brown, Donnetta Lavinia Grays, Bruce McKenzie, Bobby Moreno, Tom Pecinka, and Marianne Rendón—bring this story of community, isolation, and hope to life.
A funny, smart, and unusual story about a death and the act of saying grace, The Burning Cauldron of Fiery Fire features a pageant, a rescue, a resurrection, pigs, and the worry that maybe the kids may not be all right.
Set somewhere in the fog of northern California, this play follows an intentional community that tries to live off the land and keep an unsteady world at bay. Everything is going steadily until one of their own dies unexpectedly. Soon, ideals are tested and faith in their independence is rocked.
Washburn is a Whiting Award winner who has also written Antlia Pneumatica and 10 out of 12. Cosson an Obie Award winner, and his theatre group The Civilians originated Lucas Hnath’s hit Broadway play Dana H. These two artists have helped catapult contemporary theatre to new heights, making their new play The Burning Cauldron of Fiery Fire a must-see for adventurous, curious, and bold theatre audiences.
See how another way of living can be: tickets to The Burning Cauldron of Fiery Fire in New York will be available here soon.
