In a desperate attempt to prove they can think about anyone other than themself, Bassichis looks to queer comedian, musician, and performance artist Frank Maya, whose work inspires Can I Be Frank? in New York.

A unique performance piece, Can I Be Frank? off Broadway is written and performed by Bassichis and was originally developed and produced at La MaMa Experimental Club. Now, it returns to a legendary downtown venue, SoHo Playhouse, to celebrate how Bassichis's work operates in a shared lineage with Maya's.
