Plaza Suite is at the Hudson Theatre from Feb. 25, 2022, starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick. Tickets are on sale now for Plaza Suite at the Hudson Theatre on Broadway.
Two-time Tony Award winner Matthew Broderick and four-time Golden Globe winner Sarah Jessica Parker return to Broadway in the first-ever New York revival of Neil Simon's Plaza Suite, a comedy about marriage. This new production marks the first major revival of a Neil Simon play since his passing in August 2018 at the age of 91.
Plaza Suite also marks the first time the real-life married couple of Broderick and Parker share a Broadway stage since the 1995 revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
Neil Simon's comedy is split into three acts with Broderick and Parker portraying a different married couple in each act... and hilarity ensues.
Sarah Jessica Parker has built a globally-dominating career in television thanks largely to the role of Carrie Bradshaw in six seasons of the hit HBO series "Sex and the City," racking up four Golden Globe wins and two Emmy Awards, and she reprised the role in the 2008 movie adaptation and its 2010 sequel. She has continued her TV career with HBO more recently with the hit show "Divorce." Parker graced the Broadway stage, however, early on in her career, debuting in The Innocents and eventually taking over the titular role in the premiere production of Annie. She also starred in the 1996 Broadway revival of musical comedy Once Upon a Mattress.
Matthew Broderick is, of course, no stranger to the Great White Way. A 2017 Theater Hall of Fame inductee, he shot to superstardom in his Tony-nominated role as Leo Bloom in Mel Brooks' smash hit musical comedy The Producers (which he reprised in the 2005 film adaptation). His Broadway career also includes Tony-winning performances in Brighton Beach Memoirs and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, as well as celebrated turns in the likes of The Odd Couple, Nice Work If You Can Get It, and It's Only a Play, among others. To film fans, he'll always be remembered for his Golden Globe-nominated turn in the titular role of "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," but Broderick has arguably been most revered on the New York stage.
Plaza Suite played a limited engagement at Boston's Emerson Colonial Theatre in February 2020, ahead of a strictly limited 17-week engagement on Broadway. Don't miss this unique and exciting opportunity to see this high-profile married couple playing opposite each other in the intimate surroundings of the Hudson Theatre.
