About The Lehman Trilogy

The Lehman Trilogy returns to the Nederlander Theatre on Broadway from Sept. 25, 2021. The Lehman Trilogy tickets are available now.

After sold-out runs at the National Theatre and New York's Park Avenue Armory, as well as a West End engagement at the Piccadilly Theatre in London, Simon Russell Beale, Adam Godley reprise their respective roles in the Broadway premiere of The Lehman Trilogy at the Nederlander Theatre for a limited 14-week engagement. They're joined by Adrian Lester, making his Broadway debut. Read a five-star review of The Lehman Trilogy on London Theatre Guide.

Weaving together nearly two centuries of family history, this epic theatrical event charts the humble beginnings, outrageous successes, and devastating failure of the financial institution that would ultimately bring the global economy to its knees. In a quintessential story of western capitalism, rendered through the lens of a single immigrant family, Simon Russell Beale, Adam Godley, and Ben Miles portray the Lehman Brothers, their sons, and grandsons.

The Lehman Trilogy play is told in three parts, presented together as one piece of theatre.

Simon Russell Beale, a regular on the London stage, earned a 2004 Tony nomination for his Broadway debut in Jumpers and brought the laughs when he assumed the role of King Arthur in Monty Python's Spamalot in December 2005.

Adam Godley is a Tony Award nominee in his own right, scoring a nod for his turn as Lord Evelyn Oakleigh in the 2011 revival of Anything Goes. He previously made his Broadway debut in the 2002 revival of Noel Coward's Private Lives.

Instant classic, From cotton to coal to railroads to stock to trading & disaster, History of finance in a nutshell, The head the arm & the potato, Genuine tragedy

See it if A superb play on real life tragedy w Simon Russell Beale (Henry Lehman), Adam Godley (Mayer) & Ben Miles (Emmanuel) playing many others.

Don’t see it if you'd dislike 3+ hr. play, 3 amazing character actors embody 3 Lehman bros, their wives & partners, families & businesses & times or Tragedy

Intelligent, Great staging, Great acting, Ambitious, Absorbing

See it if An epic story engrossingly told by three fantastic actors playing multiple roles.

Don’t see it if It's a bit overwritten and loses a little steam in Act III. However, it still is a must see for any serious theatregoer.

Intelligent, Absorbing, Great acting, Great writing

See it if Successful hybrid that transcends genres, combining essay, epic, theater, lyrics, math formulas&comics told by 3grt actors on avant-guard stage

Don’t see it if You get easily confused by 3 actors playing the 3 Lehman Brothers, their children&their grandchildren, though they know how to do it.

Masterful, Intelligent, Great staging, Great writing, Great acting

See it if you want to experience great story telling, that is entertaining, by wonderfully talented actors with exciting staging and lighting.

Don’t see it if you cannot bear a 3 1/4 hour, 3 act play with two intermissions, but know that you are missing great theatre.
