Audible Theater will present the world premiere of Jade Anouka's Heart off Broadway this summer. Performances begin July 9 at the Minetta Lane Theatre and will run for five weeks only through August 14. Opening night is July 17.

Anouka has written and performs this poetic solo show about her experience being married and divorced by age 28. She has to rebuild her life anew, and in doing so she confronts the insecurities that have held her back. As she's working on stepping out of her comfort zone and pushing beyond her self-imposed limitations, she ends up finding love in an unexpected place, with an unexpected person.

Audiences may know Anouka as Ruta Skadi in HBO's His Dark Materials; she's also appeared in Turn Up Charlie on Netflix and other screen projects. The London-based actress has also had a prolific career on stage; she most recently finished a run in Cock in the West End. Her other credits include the Donmar Warehouse Shakespeare Trilogy, where she played Mark Antony in Julius Caesar, Hotspur in Henry IV and Ariel in The Tempest, and she reprised all these roles on the New York stage at St. Ann's Warehouse in Brooklyn.

Ola Ince directs Heart, and the creative team also includes scenic designer Arnulfo Maldonado, costume designer Emily Rebholz, lighting designer Jen Schriever, and sound designer Fitz Patton.

Like all Audible Theater shows, Heart will also be released as an audio drama from June 2.
