Well, we won’t let it go just yet! After a hit NYC premiere last summer, the new drama Well, I’ll Let You Go will return off Broadway for another limited engagement at Studio Seaview, running from April 30 to June 20. Opening night is May 14.

The debut play by actor Bubba Weiler, Well, I’ll Let You Go is set in a Midwestern town where a man recently died a local hero. But the circumstances of his death are muddy, and his widow must navigate the aftermath while seeking out answers from the community.

The Space at Irondale in Brooklyn hosted the show’s first Off-Broadway run, which our critic hailed as “both an intimate portrait of a grieving woman and a gripping drama with surprising reveals.” Its run was extended by two weeks due to widespread critical and audience acclaim.

The 2026 cast is led by Quincy Tyler Bernstine as Maggie alongside Cricket Brown as Ashley, Will Dagger as Wally, Emily Davis as Angela, Matt Maher as Marv, Danny McCarthy as Jeff, Constance Shulman as Joanie, and Amelia Workman as Julie. All but Maher return from the 2025 run; he replaces Michael Chernus, who departed the show due to scheduling conflicts.

Jennifer Blood, Nina Ross, and Gabriel Marin are understudies.

Jack Serio returns to direct, and the creative team also includes set designer Frank J. Oliva, costume designer Avery Reed, lighting designer Stacey Derosier, sound designer Brandon Bulls, and composer Avi Amon.

Weiler is also represented off Broadway this summer with his newest play The Saviors, running at Atlantic Theater Company’s Atlantic Stage 2 from June 11 to July 19.
