Sugar Daddy, a one-man comedy show written and performed by Sam Morrison, has announced plans to premiere on Broadway in 2025.

After a world premiere at the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, Sugar Daddy debuted off Broadway at the SoHo Playhouse in January 2023. The show centers around Morrison's relationship with his late partner, Jonathan, and how he used humor to process his grief. Jokes about seagulls, a mugging, sex, Jehovah's Witnesses, and Morrison's diabetes diagnosis also factor in.

New York Theatre Guide's Off-Broadway Sugar Daddy review reads, "New York comedian Sam Morrison churned his anguish into grist for stand-up. The result is Sugar Daddy, his cleverly constructed tell-all – or thereabouts – that is punchy and poignant."

Sugar Daddy is set to play the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, California, this fall before its Broadway bow. The creative team includes director Stephen Brackett, scenic designer Arnulfo Maldonado, lighting designer Jennifer Schriever, sound designer Sinan Zafar, and video and projection designer Alex Basco Koch.

Further details, including a Broadway venue and dates, have yet to be released.
