Written and Directed by Claudio Tolcachir
What happens when the body drifts away from emotion?
Próximo tells the story of Pablo, an Argentine living in Australia, and Elián, a Spanish actor in Madrid, who build a romantic relationship marked by distance. Through messages, likes, and video calls, their bond unfolds in the absence of physical contact—no skin, no scent.
In this era of virtual connections, the play explores love without presence, loneliness, the fear of vulnerability, and the ways technology reshapes intimacy. On stage, two bodies in close proximity embody an unfathomable distance, forging a magical pact with the audience.
