A 2016 dystopian political thriller that explores the extreme consequences of anti-immigration rhetoric and policies. Set in 2019, it follows a conversation between a former private prison warden, Rick, and Gloria, a professor, as he faces sentencing for atrocities committed in detention centers after a major terrorist attack leads to martial law.
With this production, we will question just how dystopian this story could be and ask where we as a country are headed. Partnering with the Immigration Defense Fund and Hands Off NYC, we will host Talk-Back conversations and raise funds for legal resources for immigrant communities.
