Get You Got Older tickets when they go on sale on New York Theatre Guide to see Alia Shawkat (Arrested Development, Search Party) star in the first major revival of this five-star, "extraordinary" (Time Out New York) play. Playwright Clare Barron (a Pultizer Prize finalist for Dance Nation) and director Anne Kauffman (a Tony Award nominee for Mary Jane) reunite for this fresh staging for You Got Older in New York, running for a limited time only this February and March at downtown's Cherry Lane Theatre.

In You Got Older off Broadway, Mae (Shawkat) has returned to her small hometown in Washington to take care of her ailing father. After a breakup and a job loss — the price for dating your boss — Mae is unmoored and searching and soon connects with a mysterious stranger who offers the intimacy she's been craving. A darkly comic play about family, illness, and cowboys, You Got Older explores how to remain upright when everything you know comes crashing down around you.

You Got Older premiered in 2014 at HERE Arts Center, presented by Page 73, and was immediately met with rave reviews. "This terrific new play offers a hilarious and painfully affecting blend of oddball dialogue, beautifully observed family dynamics, and a preoccupation with the weird ways of the body," The New Yorker wrote. Additionally, Time Out New York said the play "moved me as few new plays have."
