Get The Least Problematic Woman in the World tickets on New York Theatre Guide to see trans icon and actress Dylan Mulvaney star in this acclaimed one-woman show. The Least Problematic Woman in the World plays for a limited run only this fall at the Lucille Lortel Theatre downtown. Hilarious and uplifting, The Least Problematic Woman in the World off Broadway is a remount of Mulvaney's hit play from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where the show was called Faghag.
Mulvaney wrote and stars in this autobiographical work, which traces her tumultuous life from being a Catholic school kid to becoming a trans TikTok icon. The play received glowing five-star reviews from The Scotsman, Playbill, Theatre Weekly, and Entertainment Now, who wrote "Mulvaney provides a perfect blend of hilarity and rawness."
“It was a true joy to develop this play with Dylan in London, so I’m thrilled we get to reimagine the show for a New York audience, who I know will be dazzled by her glorious wit, talent, and electric personality,” said director Tim Jackson in a statement.
He added, “We’re so happy to have found our home at the magical Lortel Theatre, where audiences can revel in the intimacy of the space, and enjoy an up-close connection to this story of joy, courage, and heart. Now more than ever we need incredible women like Dylan on our stages, telling their stories, broadening horizons and, in this case, giving us the gift of laughter.”
Mulvaney is a superstar and was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in November 2023. In March of 2024, she released her first book Paperdoll: Notes of a Late Bloomer, which debuted on The New York Times Best-Sellers list.
Seaview, Wessex Grove, and Wagner Johnson Productions are producing this production. Tickets to The Least Problematic Woman in the World in New York are available now.
