Under the direction of Scott Ellis, Art on Broadway brings Christopher Hampton’s acclaimed translation of Reza’s modern classic to life.
Last seen dazzling audiences in One Man, Two Guvnors, James Corden returns to Broadway for the first time since 2012, while stage favorites Neil Patrick Harris (Hedwig and the Angry Inch) and Bobby Cannavale (Here We Are) make their highly anticipated returns.
In Art, three longtime friends — Serge, Marc, and Yvan — find their bond stretched to the breaking point when Serge buys a shockingly minimalist painting: white lines on a white canvas. Marc’s scorn and Yvan’s attempts to mediate spark a hilarious and biting exploration of taste, loyalty, and the meaning of art itself.
