Tom Kitt (Next to Normal) provides music supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations.

The musical represents Dunham's first major stage credit, but Jepsen, best known for her pop songs including "Call Me Maybe," has been on Broadway before: she starred as Cinderella in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella. She's also played Frenchie in the 2016 live TV production of Grease.

Now, she's writing alongside another music star; Gruska has worked with artists including Phoebe Bridgers, Ryan Beatty, Bon Iver, and Remi Wolf. The musical promises to be an amusing, smart, and pop-ified musical update to the cult classic film.
