From comedians Dan Goodman and JoAnna Ross comes Schtick A Pole In It, a night of comedy and pole dancing. Schtick has been featured in the NY Times, Time Out NY, AMNY and The Gothamist. Running for the past 10 years we've been NYC's best, and only, Comedy and Pole Dancing show.
Schtick works like this, Comedy and Pole Dancing, not at the same time. Comics alternate the stage with pole dancers. We start with a comic and end with a pole dancer. 5 comics and 5 dancers. Comics tell jokes. Pole dancers pole dance. They’re not strippers, it’s not burlesque. It’s aerial dance with a side of crazy gymnastics and death defying tricks that make your jaw drop.
Every weekend we have a musical theme ranging from Zeppelin, Sinatra, Lizzo, and even Musicals. My fav was Jesus Christ Superstar and I will say the JCS audience was crazier than the Beyonce audience. Our shows really have something unique about them. We think it works because no one really knows what to expect. One minute you're laughing, and the next you are screaming because you just saw something insane on the pole.
