Emmy Award nominee Michael Cruz Kayne performs his solo show, Sorry For Your Loss, at the Minetta Lane Theatre for six weeks only. Get Sorry For Your Loss tickets on New York Theatre Guide.
Sorry For Your Loss blends comedy and tragedy as it explores life and death. The show took root after Kayne shared a tweet about a loss he experienced 10 years earlier, which was unexpectedly met with more than 140,000 messages. He created Sorry For Your Loss in response to this outpouring of support, and the show breaks away from platitudes to directly connect, with humor and heart, to those who have experienced loss.
Kayne is a writer on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and his work has earned him three Emmy nominations and a Peabody Award. He's also an actor who's appeared on shows like High Maintenance and Severance. He's also known for his podcast, A Good Cry, which also focuses on grief through a comedic lens and has welcomed guests including Colbert, Nicole Byer, and Joel Kim Booster.
Directing Kayne in Sorry For Your Loss in New York is fellow comedian Josh Sharp. He has appeared on multiple TV comedy shows including Ziwe, 2 Dope Queens, and Search Party.
