Oratorio for Living Things in New York features a virtuosic company of singers and instrumentalists, celebrating our curiosity, wonder, and all we’re capable of becoming when in communion with each other.
Christian is a musical artist unto herself: she is known for creating musical events that can feel like sound baths, rituals, spiritual practices, and stunning feats. A dazzling storyteller who combines genres to create plays that feel more like rejuvenating experiences, she is also the composer and lyricist of upcoming Broadway bound adaptation of A Wrinkle in Time written with Lauren Yee.
Christian's award-winning work features a large catalogue, including the Soundstage musical podcast episode "Prime," named one of Indiewire's best podcast episodes of 2020, and also the works Terce, Animal Wisdom, and more. Speaking to her musical talents, she has been awarded the Richard Rogers, Stephen Schwartz, and Jonathan Larson Prizes.
In this returning work, Oratorio for Living Things, audiences can expect an in-the-round audience, entwining fragments of the bliss and mystery of the cosmic and everyday, as Christian contemplates time on quantum, human, and cosmic scales.
