Nominees have been named for the 2024 Drama Desk Awards, recognizing excellence in Broadway and Off-Broadway productions during the 2022-24 season. The winners will be announced on June 10.

The Off-Broadway musical Dead Outlaw received the most nominations with 11. The Broadway musical The Outsiders followed with 9, and Suffs (a Broadway musical), Stereophonic (which premiered off Broadway and is now playing on Broadway), and The Connector (an Off-Broadway musical) all received 8.

In addition to the competitive awards, the Drama Desk will give out numerous special awards. These include the Ensemble Award for the cast of Stereophonic and the Sam Norkin Off-Broadway Award for Cole Escola, the writer and star of the Off-Broadway hit Oh, Mary!, which is coming to Broadway this summer.

A special award will go to the autistic representation team of How to Dance in Ohio, a musical about autistic young adults. Sammi Cannold, Nicole D'Angelo, Becky Leifman, Ava Xiao-Lin Rigelhaupt, Liz Weber, and Jeremy Wein will collectively receive the award.

Lighting designer Isabella Byrd will receive a special award for her prolific work this season, and longtime press agent Irene Gandy will receive the award for career achievement.

As instituted with the 2023 awards, performance categories are no longer separated by gender. There are twice as many nominees, and two winners will be awarded in each category.
