Thom Pain (based on nothing), despite the title, is based on everything. Written by Will Eno and starring Michael C. Hall, this monologue play, just over an hour, was first presented in 2005 (and was a finalist for the Pulitzer that year) and is currently having a revival at Pershing Square Signature Center as part of the Signature Theatre Legacy Program.

Signature Theatre presents Thom Pain (based on nothing), written by Will Eno and directed by Obie Award-winner Oliver Butler, as part of its 2018-2019 off-Broadway season.
Golden Globe winner Michael C. Hall returns to the New York stage to star in this solo show.
Performances are staged at The Irene Diamond Stage within The Pershing Square Signature Center.

This surreal and very real one-man show follows Thom Pain as he desperately, and hilariously, tries to save his own life…or at least make it into something worth dying for.
