The Devil Wears Prada
The Devil Wears Prada is an upcoming Broadway musical, based on the hit 2003 novel by Lauren Weisberger and the beloved 20th Century Fox 2006 motion picture. The score will feature music by Sir Elton John, who has previously contributed to a number of Broadway musicals (including Billy Elliot, Lestat, Aida, and, of course, The Lion King), and lyrics by Shaina Taub. The book is written by Paul Rudnick, perhaps best known for his screenplays of such hit movies as "The Stepford Wives," "In & Out," "Addams Family Values," and "Sister Act."
Tony Award winner Anna D. Shapiro is set to direct.
The world premiere pre-Broadway engagement is scheduled to play the James M. Nederlander Theatre in Chicago, Illinois, from July 14 through August 16, 2020, with a Broadway premiere to follow.
