Pulitzer Prize winner Quiara Alegría Hudes (Water by the Spoonful, In the Heights) debuts a world-premiere play with Signature Theatre in fall 2022. Check back for information on My Broken Language tickets on New York Theatre Guide.

My Broken Language is a play based on Hudes's own 2021 memoir of the same name. Blending monologue, literary reading, live music, and movement, six women relive life en el barrio in Philadelphia during the 90s — the uplift, the grief, the spirits, the dance. Navigating the margins of many communities, they forge a language all their own.
