Leopoldstadt

Leopoldstadt

Tom Stoppard's Olivier-winning play, Leopoldstadt, will open on Broadway in a limited engagement at the Longacre Theatre. Leopoldstadt tickets will be available on New York Theatre Guide soon.

Set in Vienna, Leopoldstadt takes its title from the Jewish quarter. This passionate drama of love and endurance begins in the last days of 1899 and follows one extended family deep into the heart of the 20th century. In a review on London Theatre, our critic said: "It's when the play personalises this that it is at its most potent and effective. It is played and staged with a glowing warmth throughout, with lovely and loving ensemble character work on display across the board. This is a powerful, important new play from one of our greatest living playwrights that, should it prove to be his swansong, means he has gone out on a significant high, even as he dramatises a low point on world history."

Tickets to Leopoldstadt will be available soon.
