With a release date of October 25, 2019, Harry Connick, Jr.’s studio album True Love: A Celebration of Cole Porter features timeless classics from the Great American Songbook. From “Anything Goes” to “All of You” to “You Do Something to Me,” the record boasts Connick, Jr.’s blissful renditions of some of the greatest standards of all time.
The Broadway celebration of this landmark album is both conceived and directed by Harry Connick, Jr. himself, and features a top calibre Broadway design team, merging multi-media elements with a 25-piece orchestra.
No stranger to the Great White Way, Harry Connick, Jr. was last seen on Broadway in the 2011 premiere of On a Clear Day You Can See Forever. He has earned Tony nominations in 2006 for "Best Actor in a Musical" for his performance in The Pajama Game and in 2002 for "Best Original Musical Score" for both his music and his lyrics for Thou Shalt Not. He has previously entertained Broadway audiences with concert engagements on the Great White Way in 2010 and 1990.
As a recording artist, Harry Connick, Jr. has released more than two dozen albums and sold over 28 million records worldwide. In addition, he has earned more number 1 albums than any other artist in the history of the US jazz charts.
He’s also the host of his own Talk Show, simply titled “Harry,” and has starred on both the small and silver screen in hit series such as “Will & Grace” and a diverse variety of films ranging from “Independence Day” to “Dolphin Tale.”
