Classic Stage Company presents the first production of its 50th Anniversary Season - William Shakespeare's As You Like It. Co-produced by Bay Street Theater, the new production features original music by Tony Award winner Stephen Schwartz and Tony, Academy and Emmy Award winner Ellen Burstyn in the role of Jacques.
Ellen Burstyn won a Tony Award for Same Time, Next Year in 1975 and an Oscar for "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore" that same year. She won Emmy Awards for her performances in "Political Animals" (2013) and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (2012). She also received Oscar nominations for "Requiem for a Dream" (2001), "Resurrection" (1981), "Same Time, Next Year" (1979), "The Exorcist" (1974) and "The Last Picture Show" (1972). Her Emmy-nominated performances include "House of Cards" (2016), "Flowers in the Attic" (2014), "Big Love" (2008), "Mrs. Harris" (2006), "Pack of Lies" (1987) and "The People vs. Jean Harris" (1981).
