The Devil Wears Prada is an upcoming Broadway musical, based on the hit 2003 novel by Lauren Weisberger and the beloved 20th Century Fox 2006 motion picture. The Devil Wears Prada tickets in New York are on sale soon.
The world premiere of The Devil Wears Prada will be performed at the James M. Nederlander Theatre in Chicago. As a consequence of the Coronavirus pandemic, premiere dates for The Devil Wears Prada have been postponed. Performances will now take place from July 19 - Aug. 21, 2022, ahead of a subsequent Broadway transfer.
The score features music by Sir Elton John, who has previously contributed to a number of Broadway musicals (including Billy Elliot, Lestat, Aida, and, of course, The Lion King), and lyrics by Shaina Taub. The book is written by Paul Rudnick, perhaps best known for his screenplays of such hit movies as "The Stepford Wives," "In & Out," "Addams Family Values," and "Sister Act."
Tony Award winner Anna D. Shapiro is set to direct.

The Devil Wears Prada is the story of Andy Sachs, a smart, curious and innocent young woman making her way in the world. Andy ends up working for Miranda Priestly, Runway's legendary, notorious Editor-in-Chief. Miranda is brilliant, impossibly demanding and merciless, and she introduces Andy to 15 hour workdays, the glory and complexity of fashion, and the dazzle of Fashion Week in Paris. Along the way, Andy finds friendship, romance and a killer wardrobe. She also begins to grow up and decide exactly who she truly wants to be, amid the many temptations of a high-octane Manhattan career. The Devil Wears Prada explores a world that's passionate, comic and touching: as Andy discovers, it's a great ride.
