Further casting announced for Broadway's Miss Saigon

Cameron Mackintosh has announced further casting for the Broadway production of Miss Saigon, which will land at the Broadway Theatre (its original Broadway home) and begin previews on 1 March 2017, before an offcial opening on 23 March and a limited engagement through to 14 January 2018.

Katie Rosie Clarke and Nicholas Christopher will take on the roles of Ellen and John, respectively. They join previously announced cast members Olivier nominee Jon Jon Briones (The Engineer), Eva Noblezada (Kim), Rachel Ann Go (Gigi) - who are all reprising their roles from the West End production, along with Devin Ilaw (Thuy), who reprises his role from the Toronto production.

Katie Rosie Clarke was last seen on Broadway as Hannah Campbell in 'Allegiance.' She has also appeared in the Broadway and National Tour productions of 'Wicked' (as Glinda) and 'Light in the Piazza' (as Clara).

Nicholas Christopher's Broadway credits include 'Hamilton,' and 'Motown The Musical.' He also appeared in the National Tours of 'In The Heights' and 'Motown The Musical.' His off-Broadway credits include 'Lazarus' (NYTW), 'Whorl Inside A Loop' (2ST), 'The Tempest' (Shakespeare In The Park), 'Rent' (New World Stages) and 'Hurt Village' (Signature Theatre).

Miss Saigon features music by Claude-Michel Schönberg, lyrics by Richard Maltby Jr. and Alain Boublil, with additional lyrics by Michael Mahler.

Synopsis: "Miss Saigon tells the story of young bar girl named Kim, orphaned by war, who falls in love with Chris, an American GI - but their lives are torn apart by the fall of Saigon."

This revival production is directed by Laurence Connor with musical staging by Bob Avian and additional choreography by Geoffrey Garratt. It features scenic design by Totie Driver and Matt Kinley, based on an original concept by Adrian Vaux, costume design by Andreane Neofitou, lighting design by Bruno Poet, sound design by Mick Potter, and orchestrations by William David Brohn.

The production will end its limited engagement on 14 January 2018, before heading out on a National Tour later in 2018.
