What the popular press said...

"Requires a magnetic actor of finely honed comic gifts to work its considerable charms. Mr. Garber fits the role."
Charles Isherwood for New York Times

"Coward didn't traffic in over-the-top, but when Ashmanskas is on stage, it's omnipresent laughter. Works for the show, works for me."
Joe Dziemianowicz for New York Daily News

"Almost never feels right."
Elisabeth Vincentelli for New York Post

"The fine actor Victor Garber is miscast in the Roundabout’s Broadway revival. His problems are age .., looks .. and a basic bland quality... Still, no one can quite kill Coward."
John Simon for Bloomberg

"it's with bewildered disappointment that I have to report that Roundabout's current production amounts to almost a total misfire."
Erik Haagensen for Back Stage

"Except for a few lonely little bubbles, there's no fizz."
Robert Feldberg for The Record

"Designed to perfection and impressively cast, it’s as light as a soufflé with the kick of a fine brandy."
Roma Torre for NY1

"Director Nicholas Martin manages to keep the bubbles from bursting in the Roundabout Theatre Company's effervescent revival."
Michael Kuchwara for Associated Press

"It tends to have the taste of Champagne that has lost its fizz."
Frank Scheck for The Hollywood Reporter
