'Arcadia' at the Greenwich Street Theatre

QED Productions, a new off-off-Broadway company, makes its debut with Arcadia, by Tom Stoppard, opening at the Greenwich Street Theatre on the 9 Nov 2005, following previews from the 6 Nov and running through to the 18 Dec 2005

Arcadia is set in two different time periods. In 1809 England, the roving eye of a rakish tutor causes him to be challenged to a duel, while his 13-year-old charge may have discovered the ultimate fate of the universe. Meanwhile in the present day, scholars pour over faded records to uncover what really happened nearly 200 years earlier. The stories from past and present echo and intertwine, as all involved search for hope and meaning in literature, in science, in art, and in each other.

The cast for Arcadia, directed by Zander Teller, features: Michael James Anderson (Brice), Time Astor (Gus/Augustus), Mac Brydon (Jellaby), Tom Cleary (Chater), Micah Freedman (Valentine), Lori Garrabrant (Lady Croom), Rachel Jablin (Thomasina), Jennifer Lima (Chloe), Shelley McPherson (Hannah), John McWhorter (Bernard), Michael O'Brien (Noakes) and Andrew Rein (Septimus).

Arcadia has set and lighting and costumes by Melissa Daghini.
